Digital & Visual Fun
ListenForestPark.org
This microsite features hour-long audio recordings captured at five different Park locations, allowing people to take the sounds of Forest Park with them wherever they go. Perfect for easing an infant to sleep, de-stressing during a travel day or tuning out the sounds of your office, this site received 1,025 listens since launching in June 2016.
Forest Park Ringtones
Launched as a companion to Listenforestpark.org, a series of birdcalls captured in the Park were made available as ringtone downloads via the iTunes store in August. Whether you are an expert birder or someone who just wants a more pleasant sound to wake up to, these ringtones can bring a little bit of joy to your day every time you hear them. This project was launched in partnership with Hugmonster Sound and half of each $1.29 purchase comes back to Forest Park Forever to support our efforts to restore, maintain and sustain Forest Park.
Michael Eastman Poster Series
Through a collaboration with St. Louis-based artist Michael Eastman, we released this series of limited-edition posters in November. Featuring photographs of Forest Park captured through a lens of antique art glass, these posters show off the beauty of the Park in a completely new way. The public was invited to celebrate the launch of this series with the artist during a special happy hour reception in December.
New Video Series
As part of our Year-End Membership Drive, sponsored by Enterprise Holdings Foundation, we commissioned Once Films to make five 60-second videos about our team and members. Watch FPF Park Ecologist Amy Witt and Nature Reserve Technician Theodore Smith, members and volunteers Joan and Ken Faila, member and volunteer Sheila Forrest, Young Friends Board member Henok Tekle and FPF Horticulturist Patrick Greenwald. We were excited to have that final video showing before all Chase Park Plaza Cinema movies during the final three weeks of December. The Park looked great on the big screen!
